A motorcyclist was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore after he was struck by a car at Bel Air South Parkway and Blue Spruce Drive at 12:32 a.m. on Saturday, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said.
Nicholas Riegel, 36, of the 700 block of Shallow Ridge Court in Abingdon, was taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with injuries.
A 2011 Nissan Versa driven by Joshua Hayden, 32, of the 100 block of Arbutus Drive in Joppa, crashed into Riegel's 2002 Honda motorcycle, according to the accident report.
No one else was injured in that crash.
Route 165 accident
Maryland State Police said a Street resident and a Jarrettsville resident were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 165 and Centennial Oaks Drive at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
One other person had possible injuries, while two other passengers were not injured, State Police said.
John Kinder, 36, of the 3500 block of Mill Green Road in Street, was driving a Ford F-350 truck south on Baldwin Mill Road (Route 165), failed to control his speed and crashed into the back of a 2009 Ford Explorer as the driver was trying to turn right into her driveway, according to an accident report.
Amy Jean Bethke, 39, of the 1300 block of Baldwin Mill Road, was also injured in the crash.
A 27-year-old Aberdeen man and a 35-year-old Bel Air man, both in Kinder's vehicle, were not injured. A 16-year-old Jarrettsville boy had possible injuries.
Kinder was taken by ambulance to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, and Bethke was taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Four medic units were called to the scene as entrapment was originally reported, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association's Facebook page.
The entrapment was reported to be "minor" and Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company units were working the scene, the association reported.
Two injured in Forest Hill
A Forest Hill woman was seriously injured, and she and a man from Street were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Forest Hill on Sunday at about 11:40 a.m.
According to the Harford County Sheriff's Office accident report, Amy Pietrowski, 31, of the 200 block of Black Oak Trail in Delta, was turning left into a driveway on West Jarrettsville Road near High Point Road in Forest Hill.
Pietrowski's vehicle cut off a car driven by Rebecca Streett, 25, of the 3400 block of Baywood Drive in Forest Hill, according to the accident report, and struck Streett's 2000 Honda Civic.
Streett and a passenger, Jeffrey Hershman, 25, of the 3200 block of Ady Road in Street, were both taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore.
Streett had potentially critical injuries, according to the accident report. Hershman's injuries were not listed. Pietrowski was issued a citation, according to the report.
