The Aegis has been named 2012 Newspaper of the Year among the region's largest non-daily papers by the Maryland, Delaware, D.C. Press Association, the fourth time the paper has been honored with this award. Staff members of The Aegis and The Record were also honored for producing the region's best public service reporting, best news photography, best web video and best non-daily sports column. We present the Best in Show and first place awards for both papers from the 2012 MDDC Press Association.
