Patterson Mill, Bel Air girls close regular season with basketball victories

Susa shines in Hawks loss

The Patterson Mill (21-1) girls basketball team put the wraps on a one-loss regular season Friday, beating visiting South River, 52-31, in non-league play.

Huskies senior Chyna Latimer led the win with 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Gabby Chenworth added 16 points and four rebounds.

Bobcats beat Cobras

Bel Air (6-6, 11-8) closed with win, too, knocking off host Harford Tech (3-9, 7-13), 42-22, in UCBAC Chesapeake Division play.

The Bobcats were led by Elizabeth Hillman's 12 points. Jada Bright paced Tech with six points.

The Bobcats were well in control by the half, leading 24-5.

Thursday play

Girls high school basketball action was very limited Thursday, but teams from Aberdeen and Fallston both posted wins.

Aberdeen's win came at Century in non-league play, where the Eagles (17-4) rolled to a 71-40 win.

Jaelyne Deveaux scored 23 points for the Eagles, and Anija Stancell scored 21.

Cougars beat Hawks

In non-division play, Fallston (7-15) defeated visiting North Harford (5-17), 39-20.

Highlighting the Hawks' loss, sophomore Autumn Susa had a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.
