Harford Tech girls fall at Elkton in lone Wednesday basketball action

Edgewood a game short of division perfection

In Wednesday night's lone girls basketball action, Harford Tech (3-8, 7-12) lost at Elkton (6-5, 14-5), 53-48, in UCBAC Chesapeake Division play.

Jonna Maddox scored 11 points to lead the Cobras, while Breyanna McWhite and Asha Thomas each scored nine points.

Huskies finish perfect

The Patterson Mill (12-0, 20-1) girls basketball team finished off a perfect UCBAC Chesapeake Division season Tuesday night, winning at C. Milton Wright (5-6, 9-11), 55-29.

Senior Chyna Latimer led four Huskies in double figures with 17 points, while Gabby Chenworth scored 12. Kaley Thompson and Lucie Passwater added 10 points each.

Moriah Snyder led the Mustangs with eight points.

Latimer added five assists and three steals in the win, while Kate Eckart had six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Passwater added 14 rebounds and five blocks.

Rams lose

Edgewood (13-1, 13-7) saw its bid for an undefeated Susquehanna Division record end with a 58-41 loss at Bo Manor (8-2, 14-4) on Tuesday.

Edgewood was led by junior Riley Johnson with 12 points. Seniors Breanna Humbles and Kayla Bailey added 10 points apiece.

Hawks beat Tigers

North Harford (5-8, 5-16) was a Susquehanna winner Tuesday, beating visiting Rising Sun (1-11, 2-12), 41-33, on Senior Night.

The Hawks celebrated seniors Natalie Beyer and Lindsay Young. Young has been out with an injury, but that didn't stop her from pumping up the crowd with the fantastic Hawks drumline. Beyer ended her home career with four points and six rebounds.

Sophomore Alison Bufano led the scoring attack with eight points, followed by sophomore Hannah Garrett with seven. Junior Kayla Mangin and sophomore Autumn Susa both added six points.

Bobcats beat Cougars

Bel Air (5-6, 10-11) beat visiting Fallston (0-11, 6-15), 61-36, in Chesapeake play on Tuesday.

Oceana Murphy scored 19 points to lead the Bobcats, who led at the half, 33-12.

Angelica Quintero paced the Cougars scoring with 13 points.

Panthers beat Mariners

Joppatowne (6-8, 7-13) lost at Perryville (10-4, 12-7), 35-31, in Susquehanna play Tuesday night.

Taylor Jones scored a game-high 17 points for the Mariners. Aubrey Hill led Perryville with 10 points.

Patriots ousted

John Carroll (2-10, 10-12) saw its season end in the IAAM A Conference quarterfinals Tuesday, losing at Roland Park Country School, 62-38.

Savannah Simmons came back from a finger injury to lead the Patriots with 21 points. Jordan Wakefield and Branyelle Carillo added four points each.
