Joppatowne girls get basketball win on tough night for Fallston, Bel Air and Harford Tech

The Joppatowne girls basketball team saw its first action of the season Friday evening and the Mariners made the most of it, beating visiting International High School at Langley Park, 56-2.

Yakiraah Corley led the Mariners (1-0) with 14 points and Taylor Jones added 10.

Cougars, Bobcats lose

The results were not as good for both Fallston and Bel Air as both were beaten on tne road.

Fallston (1-1) lost at Hereford, 43-18, while Bel Air (0-2) was beaten soundly at Howard, 75-26.

Emily Rhinehart led the Cougars efforts with seven points and eight rebounds, while Logan Ward added seven points and four rebounds.

Angelica Quintero finished with three points, six rebounds and two blocks.

For Bel Air (0-2), Julia Henry scored nine points to lead the Bobcats scoring.

Cobras lose, too

Harford Tech (1-1) also lost, falling big at Manchester Valley, 60-23.
