Orioles fans will have the opportunity to meet Orioles legend Rick Dempsey at a book signing on Saturday, April 22 at Barnes & Noble in Bel Air.
Dempsey will be signing copies of his new book, "If These Walls Could Talk: Baltimore Orioles," starting at noon. The Bel Air Barnes & Noble is at 620 Marketplace Drive.
In "If These Walls Could Talk," through the words of the players, via multiple interviews conducted with current and past Orioles, readers will meet the players, coaches and management and share in their moments of greatness and defeat.
Dempsey recounts moments from the 1983 World Series championship, the rise of Cal Ripken Jr., and the current team under Buck Showalter.
The book was written with David Ginsberg, the longtime Maryland sports editor for The Associated Press.
The World Series MVP for Baltimore in 1983, catcher Dempsey played 12 of his 24 major league seasons for the Orioles. He currently co-hosts with Jim Hunter on the Orioles' pregame and postgame shows.
