Police raid Bel Air house early Thursday, but are tight-lipped on details

Lancaster Drive residents get a rude awakening Thursday morning during police raid

Some residents of the Brentwood Park neighborhood north of Bel Air got an early wake-up call Thursday morning, as Police raided a house in the 800 block of Lancaster Drive, but offered no details of the incident.

As of late Thursday afternoon, police had released very little information, citing that it was part of an ongoing investigation as the reason.

Det. Sgt. Will Reiber, a spokesperson for the Aberdeen Police Department, confirmed Aberdeen Police were at the Lancaster Drive house, with support from the Harford County Sheriff's Office, but he declined to give any further details, noting the police activity was part of an ongoing investigation.

No one was injured, Reiber said.

Neighbor Andy Markopoulos said he was sleeping with the windows open when the noise and lights woke him up around 6 a.m.

He saw the police lights, but “probably about 15 to 20 minutes later, everybody was gone,” he said.

A few hours after the raid, a crew was observed boarding up the front door of the house in question.
