"The Importance of Emergency Preparedness in Harford County and The Role of Public Officials (and the rest of us)" is the topic for discussion by the Main Street Democratic Club when it meets at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at Bellissimo's restaurant in the second floor meeting room, 510 Marketplace Drive in Bel Air.
The meeting is open to anyone who wants to attend.
Christina Crue, who is the designated speaker, is senior preparedness specialist at Witt O'Brien. She has worked as a program manager for The Center for Health and Homeland Security. Crue is an adjunct faculty member at the University Maryland University College, where she teaches specialty courses in emergency management and public policy.
She has served as the branch manager for the exercise and training branch at the Maryland Emergency Management Agency and was the head of the Maryland Exercise and Training Integration Committee. She has worked as a consultant in the Middle East, Brazil and Europe.
