Three hurt in crash on Route 136 in Abingdon Tuesday

An adult and two children were injured in a motor vehicle accident early Tuesday morning on Route 136 in Abingdon.

The accident was reported at 6:14 a.m. at the intersection of Hookers Mill Road, according to Cpl. Dudek, of the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack.

A silver Chrysler 300 and gray Dodge Ram pickup were involved in the crash that shut down Route 136.

The driver of the Chrysler and two minor children, who were passengers in the Chrysler, were taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Dudek said.

The driver of the pickup was not injured, Dudek said.

No further information was available.
