A woman was robbed at gunpoint by a group of men Tuesday night on Harford Square Drive in Edgewood, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said.
The 28-year-old victim told police she was in the 1500 block of Harford Square Drive at about 10:49 p.m. when she noticed a large group of men and decided to cross to the other side of the street, Sheriff's Office spokesman Edward Hopkins said.
They walked past her, and when she looked back, three of them were right behind her near the entrance to F Court, he said.
One of the men asked for her purse and iPhone.
"She then heard the sound of a gun being cocked and saw the male had a gun in his hand," Hopkins said.
The other men from the group were standing farther away, but two of them had black backpacks and one man also pulled out a gun from his backpack.
The woman gave them her purse and phone, after which the group ran away toward D Court.
The man who robbed her directly is described as a black man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a close-cropped, "shape-up" hairstyle and a crater-type scar under his left eye. He was wearing a red and black, striped polo shirt with denim shorts.
The second man is described as being about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with dreadlocks and a white T-shirt with a red-and-black logo.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
