Pedestrian hit by vehicle in Edgewood

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the Edgewood area on Sunday night, Harford County fire and rescue officials reported.

The person was struck on Route 24 between Edgewood Road and Route 7, the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association reported.

The collision was called in at about 8:45 p.m., according to Harford Fire Blog.

One person was taken to a regional trauma center, the Fire and EMS Association reported on its Facebook page.

Route 24 was expected to be closed for several hours as police investigated.

No further details were immediately available.
