Two vehicles, a boat and a car, were damaged in fires Thursday in Belcamp and Havre de Grace, the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office reported.
A 2010 Dodge Caravan suffered $35,050 worth of damage after it was set on fire at 6:46 a.m. at Baker Lane and Bulle Rock Parkway, according to a notice of investigation from the Fire Marshal's Office.
The fire was discovered by a passerby in the interior of the vehicle, according to the notice of investigation, which states the cause of the fire is "incendiary." Havre de Grace Police are assisting with the investigation.
A 1989 Bass Cat fiberglass boat was also set on fire in the 4400 block of Belcamp Road, as reported at 11:13 p.m. Thursday.
The boat suffered $2,000 worth of damage. Ten firefighters spent 20 minutes trying to control that fire, which was also found by a passerby, according to the Fire Marshal's Office.
No preliminary cause was listed, and the fire remained under investigation.
