A motor vehicle crash that sent at least two people to the hospital briefly closed I-95 to northbound drivers in Harford County on Thursday afternoon, the Harford Fire & EMS Association and Maryland State Police reported.
Monitored Harford County emergency radio broadcasts reported the crash involved a car and a tractor trailer.
The road was completely closed at about 2:30 p.m. and re-opened within an hour, the Maryland State Police JFK Barrack said.
A crash with "injury and entrapment" occurred near the Route 543 Riverside exit, according to the Fire and EMS Association's media Facebook page.
Two people, said to be in their 20s, were flown to hospitals, according Facebook post.
A state trooper at the JFK Barrack confirmed the two vehicles involved were a passenger car and a tractor trailer and that two people were taken to hospitals. The trooper said he couldn't disclose the extent of their injuries and didn't know any more about the circumstances of the crash.
Maryland State Police did say the highway was reopened fairly quickly once the Medevac departed.
