The Bainbridge Museum hosted a tour group from EdenWald Retirement Center on April 15. Thanks to museum volunteers Wayne Hill, Ramona Bunn and Alexander Winkowski Jr. for opening the museum on a Tuesday morning. For those who are interested in helping out at the museum, there will be a workshop for volunteers at the Bainbridge Museum on Wednesday, April 30 at 10 a.m. Learn the "ins and outs of the job." Newcomers are welcome and refreshments will be served. The museum is at 6 S. Main St., in Port.
The Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW Post 8185 elected its officers April 16 at the post home. Officers for 2014-2015 are Kathy Heaton as president, Theresa Sordiff as senior vice president, Patricia Job as junior vice president, Ruth Turner as treasurer, Suzy Cunningham as chaplain, Anne Gibson as conductress, Stephanie Gibson as guard, and Jennifer Edwards as trustee. Christine Farley was appointed patriotic instructor and I was appointed secretary.

This year's Basket and Bag Bingo to benefit "Bethany's Angels" will be held on Saturday, May 10 at Good Shepherd School, 800 Aiken Ave., Perryville. This bingo is held on Mother's Day weekend and features basket fillers to please mothers of all ages. All prizes will be Longaberger and Vera Bradley products.
