Hey folks, this is just a reminder that the new Lee's Landing opened over Memorial Day weekend and the pleasant early June weather and marvelous river views have increased the patronage at the former Susky River Grille. The renovated restaurant, by any other name, is at the foot of Tome Highway, across the railroad tracks alongside the Susquehanna River. The hours are 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. daily.
Bill Pare, treasurer of the St. Patrick's Chapel Historical Society, reported to the members last week that a wooden processional cross was donated to the chapel by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Harford County, St. Kevin's Division. The restored chapel is on Pleasant Grove Road in upper Conowingo. Thanks, AOH!

The County Wide Ladies Auxiliary members met for their quarterly meeting June 12 at Singerly Fire Hall in Elkton. Representatives from Water Witch Fire Company attended the dinner meeting.
Firemen, fire police and ladies auxiliary members of the Water Witch Fire Company are returning to Port this weekend after attending the Maryland State Firemen's Association Convention in Ocean City.
The Ladies Auxiliary to the Water Witch Fire Company has changed its meeting night to Monday, June 23 at Woodlawn Station since some of their members were away last week at the convention.
The Bainbridge Museum at 6 S. Main St. opens from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
The American Legion Post 194, 338 E. Main St., Rising Sun, will hold a "Salute to the Veterans" ceremony at their Mason Dixon Post on Sunday at 3 p.m. All veterans, those on active duty and those who have completed their military service will be honored at this ceremony. The American Legion Post 194 has many standing activities each week, such as Wing Night on Mondays from 5 to 8 p.m., daily lunch on weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., bingo every Saturday night at 7 p.m. and general membership, auxiliary and the SAL. In addition, the post continues Friday Night Music from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. The American Legion Riders serve buffet-style breakfasts on the third Sunday of each month from 8 to 11 a.m.
