All aboard the Perryville Railroad Museum in the MARC train station. The museum is open on Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. and there's no admission charge. They have a working HO scale model layout of the Perryville railroad wye, numerous railroad artifacts on display, railroad history literature available and a photo gallery of the Pennsylvania, B&O and other railroads and other historical pictures. Come on down a see them.
Now that summer is almost over Harmony Lodge 53 AF & AM will start with monthly all you can eat Breakfasts. The first will be on Saturday Sept. 14 from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Lodge on Tome Highway in Port Deposit.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, there's a basket bingo to benefit the Whiteford Volunteer Fire Company, at the fire house at 1407 Pylesville Road, Whiteford. Harmony Lodge 53 AF & AM held its annual summer picnic at the lodge on Tome Highway Aug 11 with more than 50 people in attendance. They enjoyed hot dogs, hamburgers and an assortment of covered dishes.
A crab feast, proudly sponsored by the American Legion Susquehanna Post 135, 300 Cherry Street, Perryville, is planned Aug. 18, from 1 to 5 p.m. The menu includes crabs, crab soup, corn on the cob, hot dogs, salads, watermelon, dessert, draft beer and soda. Cost $35 for adults in advance or $40 at the door. Children 6-16 are $17 and those younger than 6 admitted free. Only 200 tickets are available.
