A rash of thefts from cars was reported in Havre de Grace over the past weekend, city police said.
A total of 14 vehicles, many in Bulle Rock, were broken into over the course of Saturday and Sunday. Most, if not all, of the cars were unlocked, Ofc. Jeff Gilpin said.
The first was reported in the 500 block of Temperance Hill Way at 7:47 a.m. on Saturday. Sunglasses were taken from the vehicle.
Thefts were then reported in the 300 block of Pintail Drive, the 100 block of Hokeland Drive, the 300 block of Native Dancer Circle, the 300 block of Summer Squall Court and the 200 block of Smarty Jones Terrace.
A purse, two phone chargers, a GPS, sunglasses and cell phone were collectively stolen from those vehicles, according to police calls for service.
On Sunday, thefts were also reported in the 200 block of Heather Way, the 400 block of Majestic Prince Circle and the 200 block of Secretariat Drive.
No specific items were identified in those thefts.
On Monday, another theft was reported in the 200 block of Heather Way. A GPS was taken from that vehicle.
Gilpin did not have a report for the incidents by late Tuesday.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
