Aberdeen High student found unresponsive on bus Monday

An Aberdeen High School student was taken to a hospital after being found unresponsive on a school bus Monday, Harford County Public Schools reported.

Aberdeen police responded to a call at the school at 9:10 a.m. Monday, where the female student was still on the bus after others left, schools spokeswoman Teri Kranefeld said Tuesday.

An assistant principal boarded the bus to find the student "breathing, but not responsive," Kranefeld said. The school nurse assessed the student and determined she should be taken to the hospital.

"The school was later notified that the student became responsive while at the hospital," Kranefeld said.

Neither she nor Aberdeen police would disclose the student's medical condition.
