Aberdeen Proving Ground officials found an unexploded ordnance on the post Thursday that may need to be exploded.
"Emergency personnel responded to a report of unexploded ordnance located on APG North," spokesman Kelly Luster said in a press release. "An Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team is assessing the situation to determine the best course of action."
"Should it be necessary to destroy the ordnance in place, communities surrounding Aberdeen Proving Ground are being advised the detonation may generate sound and/or vibration outside the installation boundary," Luster said.
The release said any questions should be directed to 410-278-1147 or 410-278-1150.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
