The Aberdeen Eagles battled to a victory on Monday in an UCBAC Susquehanna (lower) Division contest at Fallston, handing the Cougars an 8-3 defeat.

Aberdeen improved to 5-4 overall and 5-3 against Susquehanna Division foes. Fallston fell to 3-7 overall and 3-5 in the lower-division standings.

Aberdeen hurler Emily Nance went the distance, allowing two earned runs over seven innings to earn a win.

Demoni Moore bashed out a triple, a base hit and drove in two RBIs for the winning side, while Sarah Tyc had a double, a single, one RBI and two runs. Victoria Phelps had a walk, a single and two runs.

North Harford over Tech

The North Harford Hawks grabbed a Chesapeake (upper) Division win Monday, defeating the visiting Harford Tech Cobras, 7-1.

The victory put North Harford at 5-2 overall and 4-2 against upper-division teams. Harford Tech dropped to 3-5 for the season and 1-5 in Chesapeake Division games.

Hawks pitcher Alexis Lyttle struck out seven and allowed one earned run on two hits in a complete-game effort.

North Harford's Allyson Meil went 3-for-4 with a triple, three runs, one RBI and one steal, while Kaitlin Horsey was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Harford Tech's Ally Venuto was 3-for-3 and scored her team's lone run. Sarah North had the Cobras' only RBI and Lindsay Bowler went 1-for-3.

Kim Cook worked all seven innings for the Cobras, allowing two earned runs and registering five strikeouts in the loss.

Perryville bests Bel Air

Bel Air (6-3 overall, 3-3 Chesapeake) lost on the road Monday, as the Bobcats were tipped, 3-1, by Perryville.

Bel Air's Rayn Gibson had a double and a single, while Taylor Scott ripped a triple and a single. Emily Strawbridge rapped out a base hit.

Mustangs take down Rising Sun

C. Milton Wright won at Rising Sun on Monday, beating the Tigers, 7-3.

The win put the Mustangs at 7-3 overall and 5-3 in the Chesapeake Division.

CMW hurler Morghan Fulton held the Tigers to two earned runs on five hits while striking out five and walking two in a complete-game victory.

The Mustangs Caroline Weimer had a double and an RBI single, while Catherine Kim scored once.

Playing at home Saturday afternoon, the CMW girls cruised to a 7-0 victory over Harford Tech.
