Fallston vs. Patterson Mill softball

In a Wednesday softball matchup played at Fallston, the visiting Patterson Mill Huskies rolled to an 11-4 victory over the host Cougars.

Patterson Mill's Hailey Horton tossed a complete game, striking out seven, walking four and allowing one earned run on six hits. At the plate, Horton was 2-for-3 with a double and a team-high four RBIs.

The Huskies' Becca Borowski was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and one run, while Meredith Price went 1-for-3 with a double, one RBI and two runs.

Brooke Day scored twice in the victory, and Caitlyn DeViney went 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run. Carly Castillo was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a pair of runs scored, and Olivia Chapman picked up one RBI in the victory.

Havre de Grace cruising

In their last two softball games, played on back-to-back days, the Havre de Grace Warriors have outscored their opponents, 21-2, with their most recent victory being a 10-1 Wednesday drubbing of visiting Harford Tech.

The Warriors rolled to an 11-1 win over C. Milton Wright on Tuesday.

In their most recent win, the Warriors were tied, 1-1, with Harford Tech after five innings. In the bottom of the sixth, Havre de Grace put the game out of reach with a nine-run rally.

Havre de Grace's Lindsey Fenner was 3-for-4 with a three-run homer, while teammate Taylor Smith went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Allison Lewis was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while Olivia Dubois went 2-for-3 in the victory. Kateri Peters and Riley Arnold both went 2-for-4.

Fenner helped her own cause in the pitching circle, tossing five innings in which she allowed two hits, struck out three, walked one and did not surrender an earned run. Megan Thompson closed out the game for Havre de Grace with one inning of shutout relief.

Harford Tech's Ally Venuto went 3-for-4 with one RBI, and Sarah North was 1-for-3 in the loss.

CMW beats Bel Air

The C. Milton Wright Mustangs took a 7-1 victory over host Bel Air Wednesday.

CMW pitcher Morghan Fulton went the distance, allowing one unearned run, striking out two and walking one to earn the win.

Bel Air's Rayn Gibson went seven innings as well, striking out three, walking two and surrendering five earned runs.

CMW's Quinn Ursprung had a bases-loaded, two RBI double, while Fulton ripped a two RBI single. Jenny Lynch bashed two-out, two-RBI single in the victory. Emily Luzetsky and Catherine Kim both scored a pair of runs for CMW.

North Harford beaten

North Harford suffered a 12-2 loss to host Perryville on Wednesday.

The game was halted after five innings under the 10-run mercy rule.

Kelly Harkins had a triple and one run in the loss, while teammate Kaitlin Horsey ripped an RBI single. Kristen Stiles had an RBI double for North Harford, and Kayla Decostello scored the Hawks' final run.
