Fire damages housekeeping area at Aberdeen hotel

A small fire at an Aberdeen hotel damaged a housekeeping room on Saturday evening, the State Fire Marshal's office reported.

The fire damaged a laundry bin and a section of a wall at the Hilton Garden Inn, in the 1000 block of Beards Hill Road, according to a notice of investigation from the Fire Marshal.

Firefighters responded to the five-story hotel at 9:52 p.m. Saturday, but the fire was out when they arrived, according to the notice.

It was determined to be incendiary and caused $500 worth of damage. Anyone with information is asked to call the State Fire Marshal's office at 410-836-4844.
