Harford Gymnastics' Level 2 gymnasts win state championship

Harford Gymnastics won the Level 2 Maryland State Gymnastics Championships earlier this month by edging out Cumberland's East-West Gymnastics 113.525 to 113.15 in Williamsport. Harford's Level 2 team is coached by Megan Blackburn, Karah Dawson and Sara Miller.

Harford's Camryn Faulkner posted the highest all-around score (38.075 out of a possible 40 points) in the competition for the gold medal in the Sr. C age group. Faulkner also won gold on bars (9.625). She earned the silver on vault (9.5) and bronze on balance beam (9.45) and floor (9.5)

Kaitlin Grimm won first place all-around (37.825) in the Sr. B age group. She was top score on bars (9.6) and floor (9.55). She won the silver on beam (9.375) and bronze on vault (9.3).

Sarah Gnacek posted the highest vault score (9.6) to take the gold medal in the Sr. B age group. She also earned the silver medal all-around (37.3).

Paige Sullivan won first place on bars (9.475) in the Jr. B age group. She placed second on floor (9.1) and third all-around (36.325).

Harford's other top three finishers included Haley Coppinger, who won the silver on vault (9.4), and Emily Brock, who won the bronze on beam (9.2).

Shelby Sullivan was sixth all around (36.15) and Cassidy Reinhart was seventh all-around (35.575) in Jr. C age group. Jenna Pullen was 10th all-around in Sr. B (35.6).

Harford Gymnastics' Level 4 Team finished fourth at their state championships in Churchville on April 5 and 6.

Kayla Iwanowski won the gold medal in the all-round (37.175) for Sr. A age group. She won bronze on vault (9.35) and bars (9.25) and sixth on beam (9.2). Also in Sr. A, Abigail Mee won the silver medal on vault (9.4), fourth all-around (36.775) and sixth on bars (9.05).

Brook Emerson was Harford's top all-around scorer (37.35) and won the bronze all-around award in the Jr. B age group. She also took bronze on floor (9.55), fifth on vault (9.175) and beam (9.375) as well as sixth on bars (9.25).

In the Jr. D age group, Ella Beauchamp was the beam champion (9.6) and Katie Weave was the vault champion (9.4). Ellen Marie Sanders was third on bars (9.325) and fifth all-around (36.475).

In the child division, Lilly Lutz won second on beam (9.425), fifth all-around (36.70) and sixth on vault (9.1) and bars (9.075). Madison Izzo finished third on vault (9.25) and sixth all-around (36.25). Gianna Romero placed fourth on bars (9.375).

Harford's other top six finishes included Brynn Seergae winning bronze on vault (9.3) and Emilia Current fifth on vault (9.10).

Jenna Bondyra, Lindsay Bullock, Sarah Kroedel, Ava Michael, Dominique Pecovic, Sophie Rush, Shyanne Vaeth and Caitlyn Weitzel rounded out the Level 4 team and helped post a team score of 186.85.

Harford's Level 4 team is coached by Danielle Kisiel, Tina Kratzmeier, TC Walstrum, Katy Dobson, Sara Miller, Don Miller, Megan Blackburn, Jessica Friemann, Steph Schafferman, Tracy Weitzel and Jeff Wilson.
