2013 record: 4-11

Top returning players: Katie Sanderson, Sr., Goalie; Hunter Woods, Sr., Midfield; Kiera Young, Jr., Midfield

Key newcomers: Emma Bowditch, So., Defense; Tiara Baldauf, So., Forward

Outlook: Despite the loss of 12 players from last year's roster, the Lady Eagles have regrouped and team chemistry is strong heading into the fall season, according to Larkin.

Bel Air

Head coach: Josh Clemmer (eighth year)

2013 record: 15-3-1

Top returning players: Andrea Sipos, Jr., Goalie; Kayla Klock, Sr., Forward; Shannon Williams, Sr., Midfield; Anna Wehland, Jr., Defense; Jaimie Layfield, Jr., Defense

Key newcomers: Lexi Kraemer, Fr., Forward; Elizabeth Hillman, Fr., Forward; Carolyn Doheny, Fr., Defense; Gabi Hall, So., Defense

Outlook: "Our team, which lost a disappointing 1-0 match in the 3A sate semifinals and graduated nine seniors, has actually gotten stronger and faster," Clemmer said. "If this group of young girls can build a great team chemistry, they will be a force to be reckoned with in the MPSSAA playoffs yet again."

C. Milton Wright

Head coach: Paul Austin (14th year)

2013 record: 12-5

Top returning players: Stacy Venanzi, Sr., Goalie; Mackenzie Cunningham, Sr., Defense; Haley Alexander, Sr., Defense; Lauren O'Mara, Sr., Defense; Jordan Nichols, So., Forward

Key newcomers: Carolyn Mang, Fr., Midfield/Forward

Outlook: The 2014 team will have senior talent and experience on defense and will rely on this group early in the season as some younger, but very gifted, midfielders and forwards develop and get some games under their belts. Overall team speed will be a strength, according to Austin.

Head coach: Mike Friskey (ninth year)

2013 record: 10-2

Top returning players: Caitlin Rankin, Sr., Midfield; Alyssa Rankin, Sr., Midfield; Alex Van Graafeiland, Jr., Midfield/Forward; Melanie Parncutt, So., Midfield

Key newcomers: Ellie Cachiaras, So., Defense

Outlook: The Rams will be young, graduating the majority of its defenders and forwards. Four starting midfielders return as Edgewood hopes to plug the holes left by some strong departed seniors. Effort level and teamwork will determine how far these Rams will go, notes Friskey.

Head coach: Mark Hannahs (eighth year)

2013 record: 12-7

Top returning players: Logan Gasior, Sr., Defense; Maribeth Esposito, Sr., Forward; Alicyn Lose, So., Midfield; Maria Gentile, So., Midfield; Katelyn Bruguglio, Jr., Goalie

Outlook: "We will be very young but talented," Hannahs said. "We have a lot of players up from the undefeated JV team." The Cougars have a very tough schedule with some MIAA A conference schools and of course the tough schools in the county," Hannahs said. "Our goal is always the state championship at Fallston and I think as this group matures and starts playing together in practice we will be successful," Hannahs said.

Harford Tech

Head coach: Matt Berg (ninth year)

2013 record: 9-3-2

Top returning players: Kersten O'Brien, Sr., Midfield; Becca Williams, Sr., Midfield; Karsin Bachran, Sr., Midfield; Shannon Conlon, Sr., Midfield; Julianna Kuessner, Sr., Defense

Outlook: "This team is very excited about this season. There are several key returning starters and some really nice new additions," Berg said. "We are hoping to build on the success we experienced last season and win enough games to remain in the UCBAC's Chesapeake Division."

Havre de Grace

Head coach: Randy Cypher (fifth year)

2013 record: 5-8

Top returning players: Addie Richardson, Sr., Defense; Rachel Rossi, Sr., Midfield; Kaley Harris, Jr., Midfield

Key newcomers: Lexi Gast, Jr., Forward; Taylor Johnson, Jr., Midfield; Rachel Wilson, Jr., Midfield; Caraline Cypher, Fr., Midfield; Julie Hagis, Fr., Forward

Outlook: With having 12 seniors last year and having just three returning starters this year, it will be a big test of team leadership this year, according to Cypher. "I have a great group of players this year, but lack the experience of playing at the varsity level. I believe the girls have the fight inside of them to pull together and become a team that leaves everything they have on the field each time they step on it," Cypher said.

North Harford

Co-head coaches: Mike Auth (first year) Tom Berg (30th year)

2013 record: 8-6-2

Top returning players: Meghan O'Donnell, Sr., Midfield: Maria Auth, Jr., Forward; Kassie Dieter, Jr., Defense; Olivia Ebey, Jr., Midfield; Savanna Testerman, Jr., Midfield; Lindsay Young, So., Forward

Key newcomers: Claudia DiVenti, Sr., Defense; Bailey Koermer, Sr., Midfield; Erin Dean, Jr., Defense

Outlook: With a youthful squad (seven sophomores and four freshmen) and a rash of serious injuries to veteran players, last year's team struggled at times winning only one of six overtime games. The silver lining was a strong finish and the experience they gained, notes Berg. This year, several key players returned along with now healthy veterans to form a strong nucleus. Auth and Young are a talented duo of forwards. There is depth with 24 players and strong senior leadership. The team looks forward to the challenges of the 2014 season.

Patterson Mill

Head coach: Mike Parker (seventh year)

2013 record: 8-7-2

Key newcomers: Kaley Thompson, Fr., Forward; Marissa Lapinksy, Fr., Forward; Katie Wysong, Fr., Defense; Brooke Staton, Fr., Forward

Outlook: This looks to be an exciting year with several key players to add to the attack and a solid returning defense, according to Parker.
