A very talented region with Hereford, North Harford and Towson awaits CMW in the playoffs, and the Mustangs are once again hoping to return to the state tournament. "We have several returning players that we will rely on to help mold a team that graduated a lot of talent," he said. "Players are working hard to find their new roles as we seek to develop a unified team identity. As we have just progressed through our scrimmages, several promising new faces have emerged that we hope can strengthen our team."

Outlook: "With our returning players and a few new talented underclassmen, we hope to improve from last season," McTeague said. Three out of four defenders and a goalie return from last season giving the Cougars a pretty cohesive unit on defense. "We need to replace three graduating attackers to solidify the offensive end. We have some young talent that needs to step up quickly if we are to compete in a very tough division led by C. Havre de Grace

Head coach: Sarah Scholl (ninth year)

The Warriors return eight starters (five seniors, one junior and two sophomores). Five are midfielders, two are defenders and one is an attackman.

Outlook: "Moving to the Chesapeake Division last season was a positive learning experience for our team," Scholl said. "We are looking forward to the continuing challenges, which playing in this division brings, as it prepares us for playoffs. I am confident in my players and know they will continue to work hard as the season progresses."

Kara Klages (2015, UNC), Caroline Sdanowich (2015, James Madison) and Meredith Haggerty (2014, Cal Berkeley) bring speed and experience to the midfield. A well-balanced attack that includes Alyssa Lazaro (2014, Jacksonville), as well as a mature and athletic defense, anchored by returners Haley Kyger (2014, Coastal Carolina) and goalie Katy Sharretts (2015, San Diego State), look to bring the Patriots far this season under first-year head coach Maychack.

"This team is talented and works hard every day while bringing a sense of fun-loving energy to every practice." The Hawks have already demonstrated how quickly they can learn and step up to a challenge. "We have a team that likes to make each other look good on the field and have an awesome desire to want to go to goal hard and score. I cant wait to see them put it all together on the field," Buecker said.
