A man was injured in a stabbing in Edgewood Monday morning, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a report of a man stabbed in the 2100 block of Nuttal Avenue around 6:07 a.m., Edward Hopkins, spokesperson for the Harford County Sheriff's Office, said.

The victim, later identified as Joshua Douglas Pruitt, 28, was found with a cut to the top of his left forearm, Hopkins said, and EMS personnel from an Aberdeen Fire Department EMS unit attended to him.

Pruitt was taken to a Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Hopkins said. He was later released.

An investigation is pending, Hopkins said, adding it is unclear which version of the events is accurate.
