HdG thumps Elkton, 17-5, in boys lacrosse

The Havre de Grace boys lacrosse team won its second straight game of the week on Wednesday night, dropping visiting Elkton, 17-5.

Nick Burley guided the Warriors offense with five goals and two assists. Casey Brown netted three goals and also assisted on eight other goals, while Spencer Blythe also scored three goals with one assist.

Kyle Barkley added a pair of goals and one assist and Chris Parrott had one goal and one assist. Phil McCown, Joe Stone and Colin Dean also had goals.

Brett Wilson scooped up a team-best five groundballs and Kevin Vickery had four groundballs.

Warriors goalie Jacob Laubner made eight saves.

Huskies beat Cobras

In the lone boys lacrosse game Tuesday to match up two Harford County teams, Patterson Mill knocked off visiting Harford Tech, 12-4.

Noah Holloway scored five goals to lead the Huskies offensively, while Michael Dinatale added three goals and Chase Tallon scored twice and assisted on three others. Brandon Fabiano and Isaiah Welch (two assists) scored single goals. Brendan Mahoney and Rudy Beck had assists in the win.

Scoring single goals for Tech were Tyler Fullem, Nick Letts, Nate Haskell and Steven Mills. James Butler and Mike Mentzer had assists for Tech.

Patterson Mill goalie Will Urban made 13 saves and Tech keeper Chris Stallings finished with 16.

Bobcats take loss

Bel Air took a break from UCBAC play Tuesday and faced Spalding, where the Bobcats were nipped, 9-8.

Joe Creaghan led the Bobcats with three goals, while Tom Pfeiffer and Brad Casale netted two goals each. Calvin Fleagle also scored for the Bobcats.

Fleagle and Austin Tredinnick had assists. Bobcats goalie Gavin Hanley made six saves.

Patriots get win

John Carroll visited Gerstell Academy on Tuesday and came away with an 11-9 win.

Cody Saunders and Carson Walton highlighted the win with three goals apiece. Saunders added two assists and Walton had one.
