Two men charged in Aberdeen robbery

Two men – one from Aberdeen, the other from Havre de Grace – are being held without bail after being charged in connection with the robbery of a man on North Post Road.

Aberdeen Police officers were called to the first block of North Post Road around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a reported armed robbery.

Police determined two men confronted a man, 34, in the alley near his home. One of the men allegedly displayed a handgun; the other allegedly displayed a knife and announced a robbery. The victim was not injured.

The two fled after allegedly taking items from the victim. The victim saw the robbers enter an apartment on Roosevelt Avenue. Officers went to the apartment and arrested the two men.

Daniel R Gilbert, 38, of the 200 block of East Bel Air Avenue in Aberdeen, and Jumal R Dudley, 40, of the 2100 block Williams Street in Havre de Grace, are charged with armed robbery, robbery, first- and second-degree assault, theft less than $100 and concealing a deadly weapon.

They were being held being held without bail Thursday at the Harford County Detention Center. District Court Judge Mimi Cooper decided during a bail review hearing Friday afternoon to continue holding both suspects without bail.

A replica handgun and knife were recovered during the investigation.
