Woman struck by train in Harford County

A woman was struck by a CSX train south of Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon, officials said.

Just before 4 p.m., the woman was struck by the train near the 4600 block of Pulaski Highway in the Riverside area, said Jennifer Chenworth-Price, a spokeswoman for Harford County Fire and EMS.

A Maryland State Police helicopter was requested to transport the woman, who was in critical condition, to a hospital, Chenworth-Price said.

Traffic was stopped in both directions as Medevac landed on Pulaski Highway around 4:20 p.m. and took off about 15 minutes later. The highway has reopened.

Further details were not immediately available.
