More than 100 McDonald's restaurants across the Baltimore region will be offering free coffee to Maryland educators every week for the rest of the school year.
Fast-food restaurants in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Carroll, Cecil, Harford and Howard counties will participate in "Teacher Tuesdays," the the McDonald's Family Restaurants of Greater Baltimore announced this week. The offer also includes administrators and school staff.
Educators with a valid, current school identification card can order a coffee of any size in a restaurant or drive-thru every Tuesday.
The 'Teacher Tuesdays' offer is part of the local restaurants' efforts to support education and communities. According to a release from the organization, Greater Baltimore McDonalds has partnered with the state department of education for more than 25 years. The organization has also been involved in sponsoring events like "McTeacher Night" and supporting local schools and PTA organizations through donations.
The coffee offer ends June 24, 2014.
