At their Sept. 19 meeting, Baltimore County school board members voted to draft a resolution encouraging state and county officials to fund air conditioning in all schools that can support it.
The resolution was on the agenda for last night’s meeting, but it was postponed.
The board still plans to vote on the resolution, President Lawrence Schmidt said, but members are still working with the board’s lawyer to draft it. Also, some members missed the last meeting’s discussion when the meeting was rescheduled because of bad weather.
Schmidt added that air conditioning will be one of the main topics at a Nov. 19 forum with the county executive, council members and state lawmakers.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
