Man charged with attempted murder after stabbing in Annapolis

Late night stabbing leads to arrest in Annapolis

A 37-year-old Annapolis resident was charged with first-degree attempted murder and other related charges after he stabbed a man multiple times Saturday night, police said.

Annapolis police said officers were called to a report of a stabbing in the 1200 block of Forest Drive at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Officers found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. Police said he was attacked by Dante Mitchell, 37, of Annapolis, who knew the victim.

Police said Mitchell was found nearby and arrested. He's been charged with first-degree attempted murder and six other related charges, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and was in stable condition Monday evening, police said.
