Two shot, one fatally, in Baltimore Thursday evening

One man was killed and another injured in shootings in Baltimore Thursday evening, police said.

The first victim was believed to have been shot around 6:40 p.m. in the Mondawmin area near Clifton Avenue and N. Monroe Street. Police got calls for shots fired but could not find a victim. A 26-year-old man later took himself to a hospital with a gunshot wound and is expected to survive.

Around 8:10 p.m., police found a 27-year-old man in the driver's seat of a car in the 3500 block of Wabash Avenue in Ashburton who had been shot multiple times in the head and body. He later died, police said Friday.
