Baltimore police investigating three overnight shootings

A man and two women were shot overnight in two separate incidents, Baltimore police said.

Officers went to the 4400 block of Frederick Avenue Wednesday at about 11:47 p.m. for a shooting report, police said. There they found a 23-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the throat.

He was taken to an area hospital and listed in good condition, police said.

A preliminary investigation of this incident revealed the victim was walking in the block when he was approached by unidentified suspects armed with a gun, police said.The suspects attempted to rob the victim, who was shot while trying to flee.

Officers were later called to the 6100 block of Cardiff Road Thursday at 5 a.m. for a report of a weapon being discharged, police said. While responding to that location, officers were called to a shooting in the 6100 block of Broening Highway.

Upon their arrival, officers found a 27-year-old woman and a 30-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds to the back and head, respectively, police said. The victims had driven themselves to a fire station in the the block for help.

Both victims were taken to an area hospital and are in serious condition, police said.

Police are also investigating a shooting that took place Thursday morning in the Western District.

Officers went to the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at about 10:04 a.m. for a report of a shooting, police said. There, they found a 28-year-old man who had been shot in the leg.

He was taken to an area hospital for treatment, police said.

Police also identified a homicide victim.

A man who was killed Monday in the 2400 block of Cottage Avenue has been identified as 54-year-old Keith Davis of the 700 block of West Cross Street.
