Police: Boy, 14, critically wounded in Laurel shooting

A 14-year-old boy was critically injured in an overnight shooting in Laurel, police said.

Howard County police located the victim in the 9000 block of N. Laurel Road just after 11 p.m. Saturday. Officers searched the area, but did not find a suspect, police said in a news release.

The boy, who is from Odenton, was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital with life-threatening injuries. No additional information was immediately available.
