Looking for the public's help identifying two individuals who robbed and assaulted a convenience store cashier at gunpoint in Laurel on Friday, Prince George's County police released Wednesday a gripping surveillance tape of the encounter.

The video begins about 1:07 a.m., just before a masked suspect becomes visible in the store in the 15000 block of Sweitzer Lane, suddenly leaps onto the cashier's counter and squeezes through a small window to gain access to the cashier's booth.
Another masked individual comes through next, though not quite as quickly, brandishing what appears to be a silver handgun in one hand and a black revolver in the other.
A cashier enters the frame and slowly makes his way to a computer screen that appears to be connected to the cash register.
The first individual who'd come through the window is searching through shelves when the second suspect suddenly strikes the cashier in the back of the neck and head with the handgun.
The cashier touches a few more buttons on the computer screen, and the cash register opens. He then interlocks his fingers and places his hands behind his head.
The suspect who struck the cashier then appears to advise the cashier to lay on the ground, which he does.
The suspect then appears to push the end of the handgun into the back of the cashier's head.
The two suspects collect an undisclosed amount of cash. Then the one who climbed through the window quickly the first time does so again, this time exiting the cashier's booth, while the other suspect leaves the booth through a separate entrance.
According to the time stamp on the video, the entire episode took less than two minutes.
The cashier was later transported to a local hospital for a minor head injury, police said.

Too bad the cashier wasn't armed with a couple glocks, he could've stopped the whole thing... oh wait, probably not.
