Two injured in Baltimore County shootings

Two people were injured in separate shootings in eastern Baltimore County on Saturday, police said.

Two groups exchanged gunfire near basketball courts in the area of St. Regis and Marquette Road around 8:42 p.m., striking a victim in the neck, police said. The victim, who was not otherwise identified, was not believed to have been the intended target.

A 21-year-old man also had minor injuries from a shooting in the 1300 block of Sugarwood Circle in Essex around 8 p.m. Police believe the shooting may have stemmed from of a dispute earlier in the evening.

Police released no other details and continue to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-307-2020.
