Two men wounded in separate shootings in Baltimore Monday night

Two men were shot in the leg about a minute apart Monday night in Baltimore, according to police.

At 8:23 p.m., a 55-year-old man was shot near the 3300 block of West Baltimore Street in the Saint Josephs neighborhood of Southwest Baltimore, police said. Officers arrived to the scene and began canvassing the area for possible victims and witnesses when they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

At 8:24 p.m., a 43-year-old man was shot in the leg around the 1700 block of North Fulton Avenue in Sandtown-Winchester in West Baltimore, police said. A medic arrived and took the victim to the hospital.

As of Oct. 14, 2017, there have been 810 shootings in Baltimore this year.
