Two men were shot early Sunday in separate incidents, Baltimore police said.
The first occurred at 1:15 a.m. in the 100 block of N. Belnord Ave. in the Patterson Park neighborhood in Southeast Baltimore.
There, officers found a 35-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and side. The victim was conscious and alert, according to police. He was taken to an area hospital and is in serious condition.
A second shooting was reported at 4:05 a.m., when officers responded to an area hospital where a shooting victim had just arrived. The 24-year-old man was suffering from a gunshot to the upper back. He is in serious condition, police said.
Detectives say the shooting occurred in the 700 block of Longwood St. in the Franklintown Road neighborhood of Southwest Baltimore.

There have been more than 700 shootings this year in Baltimore, a 5 percent increase over the same time period last year.
