Man killed, five others injured in separate Baltimore shootings Tuesday

One man was killed and another five injured in separate shootings in Baltimore on Tuesday, police said.

A 48-year-old man, identified Wednesday as Antonio Jones of the 3700 block of Saint Margaret St., was fatally shot in the stomach in the Brooklyn neighborhood where he lives at about 4 p.m., according to police.

He was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

Earlier in the day, a 38-year-old man was shot in the 1200 block of Sargeant St. in Pigtown, according to police. He went to an area hospital where he was met by officers at about 12:15 p.m.

Police said a 28-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 2200 block of Ramsay St. in Carrollton Ridge. Officers found him in the 300 block of S. Stricker St. at about 5:15 p.m.

Then, at about 7:30 p.m., a patrol officer was approached about a shooting in the 4700 block of York Road in North Balimore’s Kernewood neighborhood, where the officer found a 32-year old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital.

Later on, at about 10:30 p.m., officers found two shooting victims in a car that crashed in the 3400 block of Madison St. in East Baltimore after police received a report of gunshots in the 5500 block of Bowleys Lane in the Frankford neighborhood. The two victims, both 22, were taken to an area hospital.

Police believe the victims were shot in the block of Bowleys Lane that was mentioned in the original report, almost 3 miles away from the crash scene.
