1 killed, 1 shot early Wednesday morning in Baltimore

A man was killed and another injured in separate early-morning shootings Wednesday, police said.

Police responded to the 3600 block of Sixth St. at about 1:50 a.m. to a report of a shooting in the Brooklyn neighborhood. A 27-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died.

About an hour later, in West Baltimore, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1400 block of N. Fulton Ave. A 42-year-old man had been shot in the throat.

He was taken to an area hospital and is in stable condition.

At about 11 p.m. Tuesday, officers found a shooting victim in the 1800 block of Bloomingdale Ave. in the Rosemont neighborhood.

A 36-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to his torso. He was taken to an area hospital, and his condition is unknown.

Citywide Shooting detectives are asking anyone with information on either shooting to contact them at 410-396-2221 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.

Police also identified a male homicide victim who was killed Tuesday in the 300 block of S. Monroe St. The 25-year-old’s name was Davon Young.
