Six shot, two killed in Baltimore shootings

Baltimore police on Thursday said they are investigating multiple shootings.

Six people were injured, two fatally, in shootings late Wednesday and Thursday in Baltimore, police said.

Damon Mullen, 33, was shot in the 4000 block of Wilsby Ave. in Pen Lucy just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Mullen was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

About 15 minutes later in East Baltimore Midway, a 25-year-old woman was shot in the buttocks. She was transported from the 1200 block of Bonaparte Ave. to an area hospital for treatment.

Just after midnight Thursday, a 34 year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body walked into an area hospital, police said.

Due to the victim's condition, detectives said the man was unable to give detectives any information as to where he was shot.

Just after 4 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 2300 block of Washington Boulevard in Morrell Park, where they found a 19-year-old man who had been shot. The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Around half an hour later, Maurice Eley, 18, was shot and killed in the 6200 block of Fairdel Ave.

A potential witness reported hearing several gunshots and then seeing a dark colored pick-up truck fleeing the area, police said. They do not have any additional suspect information.

Police initially gave the victim's last name as Ely in a statement.

On Thursday afternoon around 4:30 p.m., a shooting victim sought treatment in a hospital. A 35 year-old man was shot in the ankle, police said. After speaking with the victim, detectives learned he was shot in the 4100 block of Rogers Ave. by an unknown assailant.
