Two hospitalized in separate Baltimore weekend shootings

An unknown black male shot a 34-year-old man in the stomach around 6 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Hazel Street.

The victim is now listed in good condition at an area hospital, Baltimore City Police said in a press release.

The victim was standing on the corner of Hazel and Pennington Avenue with a group of friends when the suspect approached them and started firing, then fled in an unknown direction, according to police.

Additionally, an adult male is listed in critical but stable condition after being shot multiple times in the 5400 block of Cedonia Avenue on Saturday.

The victim was sitting in his vehicle with his girlfriend around 1:20 p.m. when an unknown black male, wearing black clothing and a black face mask, approached his vehicle, according to Baltimore City Police. The victim got out of the car and began to run. The suspect then shot the victim in the back and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Detectives are investigating both incidents.
