One man was shot several times in the chest and killed and another man was shot in the leg in Baltimore Tuesday night, police said.
Officers found a 26-year-old victim with gunshot wounds to the chest in the 500 block of E. 35th St. in the Waverly neighborhood around 8:45 p.m. The man, identified as Norvin Darrell Jones, was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 30 minutes after the shooting.
Police said multiple people called 911 to report hearing gunshots in the area, but that they have been unable to find any witnesses to the shooting. Anyone with information may call the city's homicide unit at 410-396-2100.
In a separate incident after 8:30 p.m., a man went to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. Police said the victim was walking in the 5300 Block of Gwynn Oak Avenue in the Howard Park neighborhood when he was approached by a man who produced a gun, and then was shot in the ensuing struggle. Another man walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound just before 11 p.m., but police did not provide an update on that case Wednesday morning.
All three shootings are under investigation, and police have not released motives or suspect information.
