Two men shot overnight at Perkins Homes

Two men were shot and injured in the Perkins Homes public housing community in Southeast Baltimore early Monday morning, according to Baltimore Police.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Ballou Court about 3:33 a.m., where they found one man shot in the leg and another man shot in the shoulder, police said. Both were transported to area hospitals.

Police said the victims refused to speak with investigators.

Late Sunday night, a man was shot in the leg in the 3900 block of Dolfield Avenue in the Dolfield neighborhood of Northwest Baltimore, police said. A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was sitting in the rear passenger seat of a car about 11:05 p.m. when two unknown suspects approached the car at Reisterstown Road and West Garrison Avenue.

The victim told police that he was catching a ride from the driver, who had gotten out of the car and run off just before the two men approached the car.

The suspects asked the passenger about the driver and began shooting in the car, striking the victim in the leg. He was taken to an area hospital. Police have no suspects.
