Two killed, 2 others injured in weekend shootings

Baltimore police are investigating an overnight homicide, and a non-fatal shooting.

A man was shot in the chest and another shot in the leg in Park Heights Saturday morning in what city police believe to be related incidents, the department said.

Officers were called just before 9 a.m. to the 3900 block of Saint Ambrose St. for a shooting when they found a man who had been shot in the chest. He was taken to a local hospital where he died, police said.

The department did not identify his Saturday morning.

While officers were at the shooting scene, a second victim who had been shot in the leg walked into a local hospital. Detectives believe the incidents might be related but have not determined a motive or suspects.

Police said another man was killed in a shooting in Upton Friday night. Antonio Jonathan Hilton, 23, of the 3500 block of Virginia Ave. was found with a gunshot wound to his head shortly before 10 p.m. in the 1200 block of McCulloh Street.

Hilton was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center and was later pronounced dead, police said. Detectives have not identified any suspects or motives in the killing.

Another man was critically injured in a shooting in the 2100 block of Eagle Street in Carrollton Ridge in southwest Baltimore early Saturday, police said.

Officers were called to the area at 1:25 a.m. for report of discharging. At Pratt and Carey streets, officers found a 45-year-old man who had been shot in the left thigh. He told police the shooting occurred on Eagle Street.

The victim was taken to area hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition, police said.
