Two men were expected to survive after being shot Wednesday afternoon in East Baltimore near the Church Square shopping center.
The shooting occurred at about 4 p.m. in the 900 block of N. Bond St., police said. One victim, 28, was shot in the torso and back and sought refuge inside a nearby Downtown Locker Room store. A second victim, 25, ran to the 1500 block of Madison St. after being shot in the leg.
On Thursday, police said one of the victims had been treated and released. The other is listed in stable condition.
Police did not immediately have a motive or suspects. Anyone with information was asked to call Eastern District Detectives at 410-396-2422.
Through June 28, 146 people have been shot and wounded, compared with 190 at the same time last year, a decline of 23 percent. Murders are down more than 15 percent.
