A man was fatally shot Wednesday night on Reisterstown Road, Baltimore Police said.
Kevin Talley, 25, of the 300 block of N. Calhoun St. was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head around 11 p.m. in the 3700 block of Reisterstown Road in the Park Circle neighborhood, according to police.
Talley was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 11:30 p.m. Police did not provide additional details.
In August, city prosecutors dropped attempted first-degree murder charges that had been filed against Talley earlier in the year. His attorney, Edie Cimino, said the case relied on "scant and unreliable evidence" from a witness trying to gain leverage in another case.
"The version of events this witness gave completely contradicted two neutral eyewitnesses," Cimino said. She noted that Talley's mother came to every court date and "suffered alongside her son while he was incarcerated.
"What a tragedy that she has now lost him while he was so young and full of life," she said.
Anyone with information was asked to call homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.
