Baltimore Police identify 4 recent city homicide victims

Baltimore City Police have released the names of four recent homicide victims.

On Dec. 22, Terry Griffin, 41, of the 5500 block of Whitby Road, was killed in the 2400 block of Eutaw Place.

In that incident, police said witnesses told police they heard gunshots and saw a black BMW speed away from the shooting scene, police said.

On Dec. 23, 59-year-old James Johnson Sr., of the 1100 block of Ward Street, was killed in the same block. Police said at the time the man had been shot in the stomach, and that police were seeking a suspect and a motive.

On Dec. 25, 35-year-old Juan Portillo was fatally shot in the 100 block of North Montford Avenue.

Also on Dec. 25, 60-year-old Carl Stepek, of the 2000 block of Bank Street, was killed in the same block.

No other details were immediately available.
