Police have arrested the husband of a woman who was found dead in the Easterwood neighborhood of West Baltimore on Sunday afternoon, police announced Monday.

Tiffany Ruffin, 41, was found unresponsive and with trauma to her head after police went to a home in the 1700 block of Appleton Street around 2:40 p.m. Sunday after someone asked police to check on her. Medics were unable to resuscitate her and she was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said Monday that their suspect was her husband, Charles Ruffin, 48. He was charged and taken into custody by another jurisdiction and was awaiting extradition, police said.
